Events We Love This Week: January 28 - February 4, 2026
In the city this week? Here are some fun events we’re keeping an eye on.
Liberation on Broadway - Ends February 1
Reviews for Liberation have been phenomenal, leading to an extension through February 1st. The show?
“1970s, Ohio. Lizzie gathers a group of women to talk about changing their lives, and the world. What follows is a necessary, messy, and bitingly funny exploration of what it means to be free, and to be a woman. In LIBERATION, Lizzie’s daughter steps into her mother’s memory—into the unfinished revolution she once helped ignite—and searches the past to find the answer for herself.”
FAREwell, MetroCard - Currently On Display
“FAREwell, MetroCard tells the story of the iconic fare card that reshaped daily life for millions of New Yorkers. When the MetroCard debuted in 1994, its mission was twofold: introduce new technology to the transit system and speed the elimination of tokens as a way to pay fares.”
With the payment method now retired, the Brooklyn Transit Museum pays homage to the MetroCard, an icon.
On Our YouTube Channel - Central Park During the Storm
See Central Park transform during the recent storm as Scout and I visit at 8 am, 4 pm, and the next morning. 👇
You’ll Have to Check It Out - Margon
Food in Times Square is, in our opinion, something to generally be avoided.
Most spots are tourist traps. 😬
Well, except for one..
Margon’s counter serves chicken dishes, fried plantains and some of the best damn Cubano sandwiches you’ll find.
Simple set up, friendly staff, and authentic flavors. Oh, snag a Cuban soda while you’re there, too!
Taylor Swift’s New York 🗽
If you’re a Swiftie, you know just how special New York City is to her. She’s lived here, recorded loads of tracks, and found inspiration along the city’s streets.
So, let a fellow Swiftie guide you throughout NYC to:
🎓 Walk the campus of the first university to offer a Taylor Swift course
🥖 Shop at Taylor Swift’s favorite bakeries and bookstores in Soho and Tribeca
🚕 Learn Taylor Swift trivia and stories tied to the neighborhoods you’ll visit
