Events We Love This Week: October 22-29, 2025
In the city this week? Here are some fun events we’re keeping an eye on.
Trick-or-Streets - Now Through October 31
NYC DOT is transforming open streets, plazas, and corridors across all five boroughs into festive, car-free celebrations. Now until October 31st, you’ll find events like:
Live music and performances
Interactive shows and workshops
Harvest and Halloween-themed activities
Seasonal arts and crafts & more
There’s something for all ages, so check it out during spooky season. 👻
Central Park Fall Foliage - Right Now
Fall in New York may be the most breathtaking season in the city. Changing leaves, crisp mornings, and the beginning of sweater weather can’t be beat.
NOW is the peak time for fall foliage and changing colors across Central Park, the Hudson River, and all of NYC. 🍁
Our recommendation?
Go explore Central Park on a bike or scooter, take a boat tour up the Hudson River, or head to an observation deck to see the changing colors from above.

You’ll Have to Check It Out - George Bang Bang
Something about having to walk through a Michelin-starred restaurant to enter an Asian-inspired speakeasy just screams New York City.
George Bang Bang in NoMad (see location here) offers specialty cocktails in the coziest possible environment.
Some speakeasies make you feel unwelcome and come off as a bit pretentious, but not George Bang Bang.
The staff is welcoming, the vibes are cozy, and the drinks are phenomenal.
From their menu:
“‘GEORGE BANG BANG’ is derived from an old-school Korean slang ‘조지나 뱅뱅 (JOJI NA BANG BANG)’ which represents a bold, direct, and somewhat rebellious expression. It’s a phrase that can be used towards close friends or even enemies, similar to saying ‘I don’t care,’ ‘Whatever,’ ‘Who cares,’ or ‘Just deal with it.’ It’s a straightforward and sometimes harsh way of expressing frustration or defiance. The name reflects a free-spirited, unapologetic attitude and a refusal to conform.”
