Oh hello,
“2.3 miles at its widest point,” Wikipedia claimed, and just 13.4 miles in length. How could a place so immense in my dreams, so powerful and alive, be so small? ―Lisa Weldon, Twenty Pieces: A walk through love, loss and midlife reinvention

You’ll Have to Check It Out - Alwyn Court
There are loads of beautiful buildings in New York, but few that will truly stop you in your tracks.
The Alwyn Court, initially built in 1908, is one of those rare buildings!
The decorative terracotta details on the facade include quattrocento-style pilasters, baldachin-like canopies, and crowned salamanders representing Francis I, in addition to fleurs-de-lis, cameos, and escutcheons.
It. Is. Stunning.
This building has been home to the likes of Frederick Steinway (see Steinway pianos), Joan Didion (considered a pioneer of modern journalism), Liam Neeson (actor), Jessica Hecht (actress), and many more.
The best part? This building is just a block from Central Park. Check it out on the corner of 58th Street and 7th Avenue!
