Events We Love This Week: October 8-15, 2025

In the city this week? Here are some fun events we’re keeping an eye on.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration - October 12 & 13

Indigenous Peoples’ Day commemorates the history, culture, and contributions of Native Americans across the US. And ahead of this year’s holiday (October 13), you can head to Randall’s Island to take part in the celebration with:

  • Intertribal dancing

  • Drum & dance specials

  • Cultural performances

And a Water Ceremony at sunrise on October 13.

PopUp Bagels x Kraft Mac & Cheese - October 9-15

There isn’t much that’s more New York than bagels..

And there isn’t much that’s more “wanna feel like a kid again” than Kraft Mac & Cheese..

Combine those two, and well, the 12-year-old me just reached nirvana.

From October 9-15, you can snag the limited-time Kraft Mac & Cheese schmear to go along with your PopUp bagel at any of their locations.

Plus, on October 10, Kraft is taking over PopUp Bagels’ Penn Plaza location and will be handing out free boxes of mac & cheese and other surprises.

You’ll Have to Check It Out - Culinary Backstreets

Some food tours feature excessively large group sizes, surface-level information, and a rushed experience. 👎

Culinary Backstreets is the exact opposite. 👏

Their tours cap at around 8-10 people, and the guides go much deeper than just information about the food.

You become immersed in the local culture, historical intricacies, and how their food is an integral part of everyday life.

French Onion Soup

Oh, and don’t forget that you’ll explore and taste countless dishes of some of the best local cuisines. Their “Asia in Queens” tour guides you through the food mecca that is Flushing in Queens.

This isn’t sponsored, we’ve just absolutely loved their tours!

If you’re a foodie, these tours are a must-do.

Central Park Tours

The leaves are starting to fall, and it’s one of THE best times to explore Central Park.
