Future Event: The Festival heads upstate for three days (August 14-16) of Broadway performers (including most of the original cast of Rent) across four different stages. Road trip?

Summer Streets - Saturday, August 1, 8, 15, & 22

Heavy traffic and impatient taxi cabs are giving way to bikers, runners, and walkers across the city the next few Saturdays.

For the 1, 8, & 15, Summer Streets takes over Manhattan, closing off all of Park Avenue (and many more streets) to road traffic. You can even bike around Grand Central Station, as shown in the video above.

You’ll Have to Check It Out - Malaparte

There’s something to be said about extensive outdoor seating, unpretentious staff and seating, and a delicious Italian meal on a summer’s evening.

Malaparte, in fact, has much to say about that experience.

Friendly and attentive, but not overbearing, staff guided us to the perfect dishes.

Fresh salads, delicious pasta, and well-prepared cocktails. There really isn’t much more you can ask for.. except free bread. 😜
