#2- Be sure to listen to next week’s podcast episode about The Met, featuring a knowledgeable guest who loves museums more than anyone we know. 👀

Events We Love This Week: October 29 - November 5, 2025

In the city this week? Here are some fun events we’re keeping an eye on.

Reminder: We sent it in last week’s email, but a gentle push to prepare for Marathon Sunday with a few quick tips here.

Bryant Park Tricks and Treats - October 30 from 4-6pm

Bryant Park’s annual Halloween party returns to the heart of Manhattan with an evening of magic tricks, face painting, arts and crafts, and more.

This event is ideal for kids and is completely free!

52nd Annual Village Halloween Parade - October 31 @ 7pm

Originally started in 1973 by mask maker and puppeteer Ralph Pee, this is THE Halloween evening tradition worth checking out. 👻

Over 60,000 participants in all kinds of costumes will take to 6th Avenue, flanked by over 2 million spectators (their estimate), to celebrate Halloween in NYC.

Anyone can march in the parade, get all the info for viewing & participating here.

You’ll Have to Check It Out - Trattoria Dell’Arte

Smoked Fish & Crab Cakes

Trattoria Dell’Arte in Midtown is a phenomenal dinner spot before shows at Carnegie Hall, many Broadway theaters, or after a stroll through Central Park.

The funky, body-shaped decor, plenty of noses, some butts, and an eye statue create a slightly unsettling but amusing ambiance to top-notch Italian dishes.

Plenty of wall decor like this throughout

While the Fresh Baked Italian Loaf wasn’t a re-order, the Chicken Pepperoni Parmigiana is near the top of my ‘foods I think about while falling asleep’ list.

Thing chicken parm meets pepperoni pizza, in all the best ways possible.

Chicken Pepperoni Parmigiana, their best dish

Other popular dishes include pretty much any of their pastas, the Short Rib Meatballs and Crab Cakes appetizers, and Mediterranean Branzino Al Forno.

Fall Foliage in Central Park

The fall foliage and colors are peaking in Central Park right now. You can walk anywhere in the park and see beautiful trees, changing leaves, and picturesque backdrops.

We’ve got you covered with three of our favorite spots to catch the colors, all within a 30-minute round-trip walking route in the lower third of the park. 🍂

If you're coming to NYC in the next week or so, exploring Central Park should be at the top of your list of things to do. 🌳
