+ Bad Bunny lookalike contest & the coziest pub in the city

Hi everyone,

Sorry, this week’s newsletter is a day late. My planned dog poop tally across New York City ended up taking MUCH longer than expected.. (more on that later)

Also, a state lawmaker is working to allow for more relaxed liquor service outdoors during the upcoming World Cup. While good for some reasons, it could also create problems. We’ll see if it even passes in time. 🤷

And now..

In this week’s newsletter:

Events We Love This Week: March 12-18, 2026

In the city this week? Here are some fun events we’re keeping an eye on.

Bad Bunny Lookalike Contest - March 14 @ 2pm

Instagram Post

Lookalike contests have been gaining steam, and they never disappoint.

Toss in free 7th Street Burgers for the first 50 people to show up, and you’re bound to have a hell of a time.

Saint Patrick’s Day Parade - March 17 @ 11am

What started as a band of homesick Irishmen stationed in New York in 1762, reveling in the freedom to show their Irish pride, has blossomed into a yearly tradition that attracts millions of viewers.

The annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade runs from 44th Street & 5th Avenue all the way up to 79th Street.

Get all the details here (and even if you don’t plan to watch, know getting across 5th Ave will be all but impossible).

On Our TikTok: Dog Poop Data

A recent article claimed to know the “crappiest block in NYC” with the most dog poop left on sidewalks.

The data source? 311 complaints.

Seems like we need the real data (full reporting coming soon)! 💩

I don’t trust the data, so I decided to collect my own. 15 neighborhoods, here I come 🫡 #nyclife #dogsofnyc #nyctiktok

You’ll Have to Check It Out - Swift Hibernian Lounge

Few pubs capture the essence of Irish hospitality and comfort as well as Swift Hibernian Lounge.

The cozy bar, furnished with reclaimed church pews and a pulpit from Jonathan Swift’s own parish in Ireland, takes comfy to a whole new level.

With arguably the best pour of Guinness in the city and an extensive list of scotch and other whiskeys, you can’t go wrong with a drink or two at this establishment.

We especially loved the communal table in the back section, a great place to spark conversations with old and new friends alike.

You can find Swift at 4th Street near Cooper Square.

It’s Time to Explore Central Park 🌷

After a rough winter, spring is here, and the weather is finally cooperating. It’s the PERFECT time to explore Central Park!
