Most Beautiful Movie Theaters? NYC Has 3 of the Top 50

While most people understand that New York City has some jaw-dropping theaters, that understanding usually falls under the category of Broadway theaters.

Think again!

TimeOut released its list of the 50 most beautiful movie theaters in the world, and, you guessed it, NYC makes the list.. 3 times!

That includes #3 on the Top 50 list, Village East by Angelika in Manhattan’s East Village (pictured above).

According to Will Gleason, “Those lucky enough to be assigned to Theater 1 will enter a stunning 440-seat Moorish Revival movie palace, built in the 1920s in what was once the heart of NYC’s Yiddish Theatre District.”

5 Common NYC Mistakes Visitors Make

If this is your first time (or even your third or fourth) visiting NYC, you should be aware of some common mistakes to avoid!

Mistake #1- Thinking you must stay in Times Square.

Mistake #2- Thinking you need to Uber/Lyft everywhere (or anywhere)

NYC History: Gravesite of a Non-Existent Woman

At the Trinity Churchyard in Lower Manhattan, there’s a grave of a woman who never existed: Charlotte Temple.

Initially spurned by the novel, Charlotte, A Tale of Truth (a bestselling novel in America for around 50 years), the grave site has been home to much speculation and even an investigation by the Trinity Archives team in 2008..

We can’t do the whole story justice in a short email, but we highly recommend reading Atlas Obscura’s full write up below. 👇

This Week’s You’ll Have to Check It Out - Liberty Bagels on 5th Avenue

The debate about the best bagel in NYC will never die, but we LOVE Liberty Bagels!

They offer a full range of classic bagel options and some unique colorways, too (pictured above).

Our advice: Order ahead on their website to beat the long lines that pop up damn near every day, especially on the weekends.

And want a new breakfast sandwich choice besides the standard bacon, egg, and cheese? You’ve got to try The Works bagel! 🤤

Happy Wednesday,

Ashley & Devin from Better Together Here 🥯
