3 Unglamorous tips to save your NYC trip 😅

+ For a few days, $1 slices (and $5 beers) & "Badass Women of New York" walking tour

Hi again,

Not New York City specific, but the 2026 World Happiness Report dove deep into the connection between happiness and social media.

Spoiler: They argue social media is “causing harm at a population level”.

A friendly reminder, to myself as well, to consider your relationship to social media and how it makes you feel. 🤔

And now..

Badass Women of New York Walking Tour - Multiple Dates, Including this Weekend

From hotel dining rooms where women quietly reinvented journalism, to libraries guarded by muses and masterminds, to streets where women fought for labour rights, education, public health, and cultural power, Manhattan is full of women’s stories that rarely make it into the official history books — and far too few people know.

This walking tour covers two hours, starting at Grand Central with stops in Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, and more. You’ll learn about the women and the spaces where quiet rebellion helped shape the city's future!

Remaining tour dates (all at 10 am):

  • Sunday, March 29

  • Saturday April 4

  • Saturday April 11

  • Sunday April 19

As the weather warms, Central Park turns into an unofficial music festival. Drummer and guitarist duos at one corner, and a jazz quarter at another.

Stroll around, follow your ears, leave a tip. 🥁

You’ll Have to Check It Out - “Stationary Figures” at 23 St. Station

While NYC’s subway system often leaves much to be desired, some stations feature absolutely amazing, beautiful art.

The 23rd Street Station on 6th Ave, which serves the F & M trains + Path Trains, houses William Wegman’s Stationary Figures.

You’ll find 11 glass mosaic panels of his famous Weimeraner portraits.

It’s the perfect blend of humor, anthropomorphism, and truly beautiful art.
