Events We Love This Week: August 13-20, 2025
In the city this week? Here are some fun events we’re keeping an eye on.
33rd Annual Coney Island Sandsculpting Competition - August 16 from 12-4pm
Nothing screams summer more than the beach. And I don’t know about you, but I always LOVED making sandcastles and sculptures as a kid..
See professionals and amateurs alike compete in this annual sandsculpting competition in Coney Island this weekend! Enjoy live entertainment, giveaways, and a full day of family-friendly beach fun.
Central Park Conservancy Film Festival - August 12-16 @ 6:30pm Each Day
On Frisbee Hill in Central Park (near Sheep Meadow) for the next few days, you can experience some epic National Geographic film showings.
Gates open at 6:30 and movies start once the sun goes down. Bring a blanket and snacks, and be prepared for some crowds!
You’ll Have to Check It Out - Acadia
Acadia, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan on 57th Street, is a top-notch Mediterranean restaurant with a phenomenal happy hour (at the bar only).
Every dish, drink, and interaction with staff was outstanding.
The marinated chicken, Israeli chopped salad, and spicy feta were absolutely delicious!
We highly recommend heading here during their happy hour from 3-6pm! It’s a great pre-Broadway spot or after exploring Central Park.
15 Breathtaking Views in NYC: Free & Paid Views

From beautiful gardens to sweeping views of the Hudson River and SO much more, we’ve got 15 spots you’ve gotta experience. ⬇️
The 15 best views are:
The Great Lawn
MET Cloisters Garden
Top of Forest Hills Stadium
